shlichus story

okay so there i was in sunny california on friday night walking to the shluchim for the friday night meal, talking to this lovely young lady who was coming for the meal as well. she came from a reform background, had dropped everything a long while back, and was now looking to come back to her roots. this friday night was her first chabad meal and she had alot of questions.
so anyway we were talking and she was asking me how old i am and when i plan on getting married. so i explained to her that though we dont have arranged marriges we do have arranged dates and that when i feel ready for marrige i will do it through a matchmaker. so she asks me, how do you say "matchmaker" in hebrew? so i told her that we call the matchmaker a shadchan, and she says "oh i know how to say that in yiddish - yenta, right?"
lol it was pretty funny.
(of course i explained to her what yenta really is, etc.)
